How Do I access my workbook?  

Once you receive your link to download your workbook, here is how you will access it:

DROPBOX

  • If you do not have a Dropbox account, please create one.  It's free for your and simple to use. 
  • You'll receive a link after a few days to access your customized workbook that will appear in your Dropbox folder on your desktop.
  • You will be able to open and save that document in that folder any time you want, whether or not you have internet access.
  • You will also be able to view (not edit) your workbook remotely on your smartphone if you have the Dropbox mobile app.

This is not a problem at all!  Our product is set up to be very user friendly.  If you can navigate a website, you can use our product!  Our workbook has buttons that you click on to take you from one part of the workbook to another.  We provide you with a user tutorial, and Erin is available to help you with any questions you may have along the way!

WHAT IF I am not very good at using excel?

OTHER SITES HAVE similar SERVICES or templates FOR FREE.

WHY SHOULD I PICK WEDDING UNDER CONTROL?

Yes, they do.  But Wedding Under Control will not sell your information to other vendors and will never send you spam e-mail.  Also, if you have a question or need a customization, simply e-mail Erin and she can help.  You don’t have to worry about e-mailing “support@wherever” and hope for a personal response.  

You get a personal touch that you don't get with these larger, 'free' resources. This is an important, special day for you. Do you want to leave it up to a generic template, or do you want something customized for you and built for all your wedding organizational needs? 

I can make something like this for myself, can't I?

Maybe you can! But wouldn’t you rather pay a small one-time fee for something that includes things you may forget, or never even realized you need?  There are so many details to a wedding – let us help you manage the details so that you can relax on your wedding day!  

Also,  Erin made this product when she got married.  She joined several of the free sites and couldn’t find what she needed.  So, she designed this workbook to fill in all those gaps and has now made it user friendly and wants to share it with others.  Let us help you!

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION AND WANT TO VIEW IT?

While you don't need internet to access your kit on your laptop or desktop computer, your wedding workbook will sync automatically once your computer is connected to the internet again. It's imperative that it updates periodically as that allows us to provide customer support, upgrades, modify for customization, or address any technical issues you might have. 

VIEWING ON THE GO

If you have the DropBox app on your smartphone or tablet, you will be able to open and view your workbook. That way you have your caterer's cell phone number or the name of your cousin's date available whenever you need them.

You always have last minute hidden costs that sneak up on you!  Our kit will help you see where your expenses are going so that you can adjust your budget as you go.

Want to know what guests haven’t RSVP’ed yet?  Need to know a catering count  automatically?  Our guest manager will help you keep track of this.  All you have to do is  enter in your guests, and our workbook will do the rest!

The Task Tracker can help you stay organized as more and more things to do creep up  closer to the big day!  The contact sheets and wedding week-of agenda will help you  make sure you have everything accounted for and that everyone involved has each  others’ contact info.

What if my wedding is halfway planned?

Can I WORK ON this WITH a SmARTphone or a tablet?

SMARTPHONE - You are able to open and view your records on your Dropbox mobile app if you need to look up a phone number or check your to-do list. However you aren't able to make any changes on your mobile device yet. We hope to add a mobile feature for expense entry and tracking, so stay tuned for future updates!

TABLET - If your tablet has at least a 10.1" screen, a Microsoft Office 365 license (meaning you can run Excel files with macros and calculations, not just a basic spreadsheet viewer), and internet access to your Dropbox then you can. But we suggest using a laptop or desktop computer to ensure proper functionality. 

WHAT IF we're still figuring out the details of our wedding?

Is it too early to sign up?

The sooner you're able to get your hands around your planning, the better. So there's never a 'too early' point for getting Wedding Under Control. When you sign up, you'll be asked some basic setup questions so we can customize your budget system, guest manager, and task tracker.

If plans change (and they will), we can easily adjust your workbook to accommodate those changes. As a matter of fact, the flexibility of our program is one of its strengths. 

Does wedding under control do any wedding planning?

We do not offer wedding planning services.  Our service to you is a resource that tracks and organizes your expenses and budget, keeps your guest list together, and manages your ever-growing to-do list.  We're here to make sure the numbers and tasks don't get lost in the shuffle.  In our experience those were the most important parts of the wedding, besides having fun and enjoying the experience. 

what exactly are macros? why do i need to enable them to use my workbook?

A macro is basically a recorded series of functions or calculations within Excel. While your workbook is designed to be user-friendly in appearance, there are significant equations, programming and Visual Basic applications (VBAs) running behind the scenes. Those functions are part of the power of Wedding Under Control. When you open your workbook, you must allow macros for it to operate properly. Rest assured, there is nothing within the workbook that are bad for your computer. If you have any further questions, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

How can I share my wedding workbook with my FIANCE or parents?

You can share your wedding workbook from Dropbox.com.  Realize that the more people that have access to it, the more changes that others can make in your wedding planning workbook. 

We recommend sharing it with no more than 3 people.  You can always send them a print out of your to do list, your contact sheet, your budget summary, etc. so that they can see your progress.

I am THE parent of a bride/groom.  Would this be beneficial for me?

If you are managing the money for the wedding, then absolutely!  If you are handling the guest lists, this is the tool for you!  Our kit can be purchased and used by anyone involved in a wedding.

It also makes a great wedding gift!
